I owned a property at 39 Crown Street, Woolloomooloo that I decided to sell. Being an active player in the Sydney commercial property market, I reached out to a number of reputable agent that I have had previous dealings with. Despite having an exclusive arrangement and a marketing budget, they were unable to find a buyer. I then reached out to another reputable agent who was unable to sell it after two months. Then again, a third and fourth time.
Eight months later and we were unable to find a buyer. In October of 2015, I met Steven Kruyer from LJ Hooker Commercial. I explained to Steven that I would like to sell this property, but given four unsuccessful attempts with other agents, I would no longer permit exclusivity and would not spend any more on marketing. Despite the multiple agents competing and opening the property virtually every week from October, Steven persisted and in January of 2016 he managed to find a buyer for the asking price. Not only was Steven the agent who delivered the sale, he was also a pleasure to work with. Steven was competent in every possible way including his professional conduct and transparency in our communication.
